OSU has one of the most elite histories of running backs of any University in the country. Dating back to Bob Fenimore, Terry Miller, Ernest Anderson, Thurman & Barry, we've had the headliners. Many OSU fans may not remember that Charles Crawford, from Bristow, ran the ball in the NFL too, but happened to come along at a time at OSU when we had Hall of Famers.

Beyond those guys, many people forget that Gerald Hudson led the nation in rushing in 1990, and that David Thompson had back to back 1000 yard season in the 90s.

Then, another back that OSU fans don't remember enough is Reggie White, then Tatum, V-Mo, Savage, Randle, Hunter, Toston, Carson, Hubbard, Hill, Warren, and Ollie. Then a bunch of guys like Andre Richardson, Jamal Fobbs, and guys like that who were tremendous backs, and it's easy to argue that OSU truly is Tailback U. At least it's in the discussion! There's no question about that. #GoPokes #OkState

Who was faster? Tatum Bell lined up all the fastest guys on the team, and they all raced, and he tells you who won in the video. GREAT STUFF from the man they called T-Speed!

Tatum also recalls the memories of practice where Coach Miles would have them finish with 4 live plays. #GoPokes #OkState

Phillips is a senior safety who is transferring in from Virginia Tech and played a similar "split safety" type of defense. But, as he said, that doesn't mean this secondary is gonna sit back and let everything happen in front of them. This defense is gonna be very aggressive, which he finds to be the perfect mix for this type of defense.

Another thing that he likes about this defense is that you don't have to go "hunt plays". There are very well-defined rules for each 1/11th, so all anyone is ever going to be asked to do is their part. Which, as we have mentioned before, simplifies each individual's duties, which, in turn, allows them to play fast.

Phillips is a coach's son, and you can definitely tell by listening to him. He knew what he wanted, which was a defense that was a fit for him. That meant understanding the defense to begin with, and it's pretty clear he understands the one he's in now like the back of his hand.

He also feels like there is a very positive sense of urgency. It's a "win-now" mode, but there's no "panic" to that. Super cool young man to listen to talk about football. He knows his stuff, he knows what he wants, and he's found a great home for his one last ride. #GoPokes #OkState

Tatum Bell on Oklahoma State, His NFL Career & That Famous Texas Tech Run
Any great team has to learn how to win in multiple ways, and not every week will look the same. But within that shell, there are some "non-negotiables". The two biggest are that the offense can't turn the ball over, and the defense has to stop the run.

If this team maximizes the number of possessions it gets, points are going to go on the board. And if they can stop the run and get the other team in obvious passing situations, the sacks are gonna come too.

Coach Morris gives his "blueprint". #GoPokes #OkState

Keviyan Huddleston Media Day Availability
https://youtu.be/peYZLgXqJDQ

is one of the many talented defensive linemen on this roster. At 6-foot-4 and 269 pounds, Huddleston has the kind of size you want coming off the edge, and he is very good at getting in the other team's backfield. And he seems to have a knack for making big plays right when his team needs it the most. He’s big, and he's also athletic and explosive.

Huddleston started his college career at TCU before transferring to North Texas, and that’s where he really started putting together some production. Last season, he finished with 30 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in 13 games. So he’s not coming to Stillwater having to figure out college football. He’s already played a lot of it. He’s been in the Big 12, he’s played at another FBS program, and he’s had success getting into the backfield. And he's played in THIS system, for the EXACT same coaches he's playing for now.

This defense is gonna need a LOT of depth, and they have it, so it was great to see Keviyan come over with the rest of the UNT crew.

From TCU to UNT to OSU. The Keviyan Huddleston Journey
Carson Kolb...Much respect, sir!
Kolb is transferring in from Oregon State, where he played in all 12 games last year. As per Head Coach Eric Morris, Kolb came to OSU as a walk-on, or whatever the terminology may be, then earned a scholarship, now likely the frontrunner to be the starter at tight end.

Coach Svoboda values multiple skills at that position, and Kolb brings that. He'll be excellent when he's attached and blocking. He's also athletic, so pulling back and kicking defensive ends on the split zone should be a strength, and he's long, so he should be a good matchup on linebackers.

He and Shaun Torgeson are probably THE two biggest surprises of the Spring. Atta Baby Carson...Keep killin' it! #GoPokes #OkState

🎥 Terrence Lewis Media Day Availability👉 https://youtu._gxVhQaLB7A
Terrence Lewis is a 5-11 receiver who transferred in from UNT and has a reputation for being dynamic after the catch. He didn't arrive at camp until summer last year—which is late by today's standards—but impressed the coaches enough to play in 12 games.

His skill set makes him a natural fit to slip underneath or operate in the screen game where he can generate YAC, something he says he’s worked on a lot. We didn't get to see his long touchdown in Saturday's scrimmage, but by all accounts, he read the defense, found the soft spot, and made magic happen once he got the ball. He also showed off that big-play ability with a 37-yard score against UTSA last year.

His humble nature and understanding of how he has to work for everything he gets, every day, came through loud and clear as he spoke. That feels like a common thread with this transfer class—everyone has a clean slate to write their own story at OSU, and that's a huge motivator.

This receiver room is stacked, so finding touches for everyone will be a "Houdini" act at times. But as fast as this offense moves, depth will be crucial, and the reps are there for the taking. As Terrence said, this staff calls "balls and strikes," not favorites. Show you're the best, and you get the reps. It's THAT simple!
